Journal your NinjaTrader and Tradovate trades.

Traders Journal reads the trade history you export from NinjaTrader or Tradovate — instrument, side, quantity, entry and exit, timestamps, fees and realised P/L — and turns each row into a journal entry you can review with notes, screenshots and analytics.

Available now
Trade Auto Sync
Live for Tradovate

Connect Tradovate and new fills, orders and open positions arrive on their own. Tradovate serves the current trading day, so older history still comes in by file. NinjaTrader auto sync is not available yet — its history imports by file today.

Traders Journal is a journaling and review tool. It does not place, modify, cancel or route orders, and it never asks for your platform login.

How it works

Watch the import, start to finish

Three minutes, one file, no credentials. The walkthrough uses a broker statement — a NinjaTrader or Tradovate export behaves exactly the same way.

  1. 01

    Export your history

Download your trade history from NinjaTrader or Tradovate as CSV or Excel.

  2. 02

    Upload the file

Open Statement Import in Traders Journal and select the exported file. Every column is matched for you.

  3. 03

    Review, then save

Check the trades that were read out of the file, correct anything that looks off, and add them to your journal.

FAQ

Questions before you import

What does Traders Journal import from NinjaTrader or Tradovate?

The trade history you export yourself: instrument, side, quantity, entry and exit prices, timestamps, fees, and realised P/L. Each row becomes a journal entry you can annotate and analyse.

Can Tradovate sync automatically instead of by file?

Yes. Tradovate auto sync is live: connect once through Tradovate’s own login and new fills, orders and open positions arrive on their own. Tradovate’s API serves the current trading day only, so anything older still comes in by statement import. NinjaTrader auto sync is not available yet.

Do I need to share my platform login?

No. Statement import works from a file you export and upload. Tradovate auto sync uses Tradovate’s own read-only login screen — your password is typed on Tradovate, never given to Traders Journal, and the connection cannot place or change orders.

Does Traders Journal place or manage trades in my account?

No. Traders Journal is a journaling, analytics, and review tool. It does not place, modify, cancel, or route orders, and it does not hold or handle funds.

What happens if I import the same file twice?

Incoming trades are checked against what is already in your journal before anything is saved, so re-importing an overlapping export does not create duplicates.
