Free Trading Tools
A growing library of practical tools for planning and reviewing trades.
What this page is for
Every tool here answers one specific number you'd otherwise work out by hand or in a spreadsheet: is this trade sized right, is this system actually profitable. Each one is free, runs in your browser, and needs no account.
They're built for self-directed traders — from someone writing a first trading plan to someone auditing a system they've been running for a year. If you can describe the number you're trying to check, there's likely a tool here for it.
Start with the question, not the tool. Right now that mostly means a calculator — for example, checking whether a strategy is actually profitable, or how much you're risking on a trade. This page is a small library today and will hold more calculators, and other kinds of tools, as they're built — each one published here only once it's live.
Frequently asked
Are these trading tools actually free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use, with no account and no email required.
Do I need to sign up to use a tool?
No. Open a tool and use it directly. An account is only useful if you want to keep a running trading journal inside Traders Journal itself.
Do these tools store or see my trade data?
No. Calculations run in your browser on the numbers you type in. Nothing is uploaded or saved unless a specific tool says otherwise on its own page.
How is this different from doing the same math in a spreadsheet?
It isn't fundamentally different — it's the same math, already built, so you don't have to set up formulas or check them for mistakes. Use whichever is faster for you.
Will more tools be added?
Yes. This page holds a small, growing set of tools. New ones are added as they're built and tested, not promised ahead of time.
Which tool should I start with?
Pick the one that answers the question you have right now. Right now that mostly means a calculator — for example, one that checks whether your system is actually profitable.
